All visitors to CNS offices
are required to sign in at the reception desk in the lobby and may be asked to present photo identification. The main entrance
to the building is located underneath the bridge connecting Research
Building XIV and the Andrews Information Systems Building (1700
Pratt Drive).

Arriving by Car
To reach the campus from Interstate 81 (southbound and northbound):
- From I-81 take Exit 118B onto the U.S. 460 West Bypass. There is only one exit
ramp serving the three 118 exits; missing the ramp means a trip north
to Exit 128 or south to Exit 114 to turn around.
- Exit 118B (Blacksburg) connects directly to the U.S. 460 West Bypass.
Once on the Bypass you'll pass a few exits, including Peppers Ferry
Road (Route 114). Follow the signs for Blacksburg/Virginia Tech.
- Take the Blacksburg exit (some of the signs also say "Control
Center" or "Smart Road") - 460 Bus East & West.
The exit ramp splits almost immediately; take the right split to Industrial
Park Dr. Take a left at Industrial Park Dr., toward the traffic light.
- Go straight through the intersection at the light for 0.1 mile
- Take a right onto Ramble Road at the light. Go .9 mile
- Ramble Road becomes Tech Center Drive. Go 0.2 mile
- Take a left onto Forecast Drive. CNS is in Research Building XIV.
Parking
Visitors are encouraged to park in the lot between Forecast Drive and Pratt
Drive bordered by the National Weather Service building, the Andrews Information
Systems Building and Research Building XIV. Parking is free and does not
require a visitors pass. Visitors should proceed to the main
entrance located on Forecast Drive underneath the bridge connecting
Research Building XIV and the Andrews Information Systems Building. For

Arriving by Air
Roanoke
Regional Airport in Roanoke, Va., is served by major domestic airlines.
The Roanoke
Airport Limousine Service provide transportation between the airport
and campus.
Private planes may land at the Virginia
Tech Airport adjacent to campus (telephone: 540-231-4444).
Arriving by Train
Several Amtrak
stations are located in southern West Virginia (White Sulfur Springs,
Alderson, and Hinton). Another station is located in Clifton Forge, Virginia;
from this stop, passengers can take Amtrak's Thruway Bus Service to Roanoke,
Virginia. Lynchburg and Danville are also served by Amtrak.
