Blacksburg and Christiansburg Local Calling Area Extended to Pulaski, Virginia

Beginning November 1, 2003, all telephone calls placed to Pulaski, Virginia (440, 980, and 994 exchanges) from Blacksburg and Christiansburg became local calls. The Pulaski local calling area is concurrently now expanded to include Blacksburg and Christiansburg. Telephone calls from the Virginia Tech campus can be completed by dialing “9” and the seven digit telephone number. Customers no longer have to dial ten digits to reach numbers in these areas.
