US Territory Long Distance
Directory Assistance Rates Change

Effective April 1, 2003, CNS offers a new rate for United States Territory long distance directory assistance calls.

These calls, requiring an international operator and charged to Virginia Tech at $2.94 per call, are dialed: (area code)+555-1212. The affected United States Territory locations are as follows: 340 US Virgin Islands; 670 Guam; 671 Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands; and 787 Puerto Rico.

Domestic long distance directory assistance calls are billed at $1.08 each and local directory assistance calls (those dialed to 411) are still billed at $0.29 per call. Non-US Territory long distance directory assistance calls continue to be billed at $8.49 each. More information regarding directory assistance rates may be found on our rates page. Departmental customers may contact 1-6460 for questions regarding this change. Student customers should contact CNS Student Telecommunications at 1-3000.
