Do Not Call Registry Information
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) established a Do
Not Call Registry in June 2003 for residents who
wish to remove their number from most telemarketers' call lists. Registration
should prevent calls from inter- and intra-state
telemarketers. In late June, the FTC announced that college and
university students residing in campus housing may register their phone
numbers
with the Do Not Call website.
Virginia Tech students who live on-campus can register online. In order
to register online, students will need to provide a valid email address.
That email address will be used to provide a confirmation link that will
finalize registration.
